Working on the my companies new website. We went from sketches on the to comps on the wall. Now we have to figure out how to get it on the web.
Here’s the ReachLocal Star trophy. The design is a star that’s made up of five arrows (if you didn’t notice) from the ReachLocal logo. I think it looks great in crystal. I wanted the star to be cutout, but the builder said it would be too fragile. The Trophy is sitting with a great employee in our London office.
In my design life I have worked on many large brands, but today I got see probably my most valuable project come to live. We started an internal award call the ReachLocal Star Award. It was dedicated to a coworker and all-around great guy who unexpectedly passed away. Justin had a huge impact on me and my department. I am proud to be able to design an award in his honor.
I am at the Big Design Conference and for the most part the speakers are good. Some great. The funny thing is that I have chosen what sessions to go into by there titles and some aren’t even close to what the title says. Buyer beware. Seem like the boring titles are the better and more creative sessions.
Did you know that there is no globally recognized logo for human rights? Me neither. You have until July 31 to get your version on the site and voted on.
Can chat help a local business?
Local businesses are needing to be more savvy getting customers. Most everyone has a website, but most are not very good at converting. Adding chat will allow people coming to your site to get more information and you get the contact info. Check out the video we at ReachLocal made to describe how TotalLiveChat works.
